Plank, Fentress to receive Oklahoma Golf Hall of Fame scholarships

Reagan Plank of Owasso and Taven Fentress of Mannford have been selected as the recipients of the Oklahoma Golf Hall of Fame’s 2025 scholarships, each worth $5,000.

The two will be honored at the 2025 Oklahoma Golf Hall of Fame induction ceremony Nov. 9 at Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club.

Fentress, who will play collegiately for Oklahoma Wesleyan, is a member of the National Honor Society, a long-time competitor in PGA South Central Section junior golf events and the captain of his high school team.

Plank, a star golfer at Owasso High School who was introduced to the game at the First Tee of Tulsa, will attend the University of Central Oklahoma and enroll in the Professional Golf Management program. An outstanding student with a 4.0 grade point average, she has competed in hundreds of local, state and regional tournaments and will play for the UCO Bronchos while in school.

Both are involved in numerous other activities besides golf that benefit their communities.

“The scholarship committee had an extraordinary pool of applicants,” said committee chair Lew Erickson. “Our two recipients are very deserving and we are glad to support their next steps.”

The 2025 Oklahoma Golf Hall of Fame class consists of Mike McGraw, Andrew Magee, Willie Wood, Labron Harris Jr. and Duffy Martin. Ticket and table information is available at www.oklahomagolfhof.org.
